HELEN & GREG // Pentre Mawr Country House
Helen & Greg love their VW camper, their dog and all things outdoorsy and booked Pentre Mawr Country House for the entire weekend as it's dog friendly (love that!); it was the perfect relaxed country venue to throw a massive party for all of their friends (dogs & humans) & family and I loved it as soon as I got there. They were a really fun couple who didn't care much for posing and totally loved boogieing the night away.
Their day started with a game of golf & feeding polos to the ponies and was really relaxed; the ceremony was full of laughter and the dancing was something else! They gifted their best man a really cool barbecue and something tells me they have already organised their next big party - I hope they'll love it as much as I enjoyed documenting their wedding.
Thanks to Mel from Melissa Cross Photography for asking me to join in on the fun x

GEMMA & CHARLOTTE// Chester Town Hall
Gemma & Charlotte got married at the über gorgeous Chester Town Hall in December. We had previously met for pre-wedding pictures up on Castell Dinas Brân above Llangollen and having spent some time with them already I knew their day was going to be quite emotional.
Being the proper country bumpkin that I am I don't use multi-story carparks very often and so trying to park the van in a ridiculously tight spot (I mean, c'mon!!!!) is worth an entire separate blog post in itself perhaps (but i'll spare you the tedious details haha) so when I finally started breathing again I hooked up with Charlotte first and watched her put the finishing touches on their glamorous venue before running outside to meet Gemma (in THAT dress!) and her super cool bridesmaids.
The actual ceremony was full of emotions and there were lots of tears but even more laughter and if that's a sign of things to come then they are definitely in for a super happy & long marriage.
After the beautiful service, a well deserved glass of fizz (for them, not me obvs), lining up the relatives for a group shot & having fun with confetti my gorgeous newlyweds agreed to a little stroll across the beautiful Chester Christmas market for some group shots before heading off to their night do.
These two are obviously made for and crazy about each other and I felt truly blessed to be able to share some of their special day with them! So here's to Gemma & Charlotte xxx

ALISON & MARK // Donnington Hall
I first met Alison & Mark after a Facebook hookup via one of our lovely cousins (much love Ali x). Alison wanted a low key relaxed photographer for their small wedding at Doddington Hall in Cheshire and I thought I fitted the brief perfectly ;) She mentioned red Chester bus and that was that; I honestly could not wait to shoot their big day!
Their wedding day turned out to be awesome and although it had rained the day before (and the day after!) the sky couldn't have been more blue or brighter (and what's a bit of squinting between friends, ha!) which was great for their open bus (and Bentley!) journey to Doddington from Alison's sister's house in Rossett. If (like me) you've never been on a red Chester bus before - can highly recommend! Those countryside views with the wind blowing in your face were pretty dang epic!
It was also lovely to see how close Alison and her sister Michelle are and I had such a blast on their wedding day Alison & Mark almost made me forget that I wasn't actually one of their lucky people on the guest list haha
These two were defo meant to be together. Thanks for letting me share your perfect day with you xxx

ALISON & OLIVER // Chester Cathedral
When Melissa from Melissa Cross Photography asked if I fancied assisting on Alison & Oliver's wedding in Chester cathedral I felt like pinching myself! Not many photographers get to shoot there and it is a truly stunning venue so of course I said yes :)
We hooked up with Alison, Oliver and their family 2 days before the wedding in Chester; Alison's dad is a member of the choir and let me tell you - there's not much he doesn't know about the cathedral.
On their wedding day we met up at Alison's family home; getting ready at home is probably one of my favourite part of a wedding day; nerves, excitement, endless cups of tea before it's finally time for that first glass of bubbles and watching the bride getting ready - love it!
Chester cathedral did not disappoint; the entrance of the bridal party was epic, the setting is stunning and the feeling is very grand. I almost felt like I was watching royalty getting married ;)
After the ceremony and some portraits in the beautiful courtyard we headed off to Inglewood Manor, a stunning wedding venue on the Wirral, for the reception.
Alison & Ollie had a fabulous wedding; thanks to Mel for letting me join in xxx
